Know Your Vial is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

Information We Collect

Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics service. It does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across websites. We receive only aggregate data about page views and referral sources.

Affiliate tracking. When you click a link to a telehealth provider on our Find Care page, our affiliate partners (Impact.com, Katalys, and other affiliate networks) may place a cookie on your browser to track whether you complete a signup. This is how we attribute referrals.

Newsletter. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the email address you provide. Your email is processed by our email service provider and used solely for sending you updates.

What we do not collect. We do not collect health information, medical data, BMI, diagnoses, medication history, or any other health-related personal information. We are a journalism site, not a healthcare provider.

How We Use Information

Analytics. Aggregate analytics data helps us understand which content is most useful to our readers and where our traffic comes from. No individual users are identified.

Affiliate tracking. Affiliate cookies allow our partners to attribute signups to our referrals. This is how we fund our journalism. We do not receive any personal information about you from these partners — only whether a referral resulted in a conversion.

Newsletter. We use your email address to send enforcement alerts, new investigations, and price updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Affiliate Tracking Disclosure

When you click a link to a telehealth provider on our Find Care page, our affiliate partners (Impact.com, Katalys) may place a cookie on your browser to track whether you sign up. This cookie typically lasts 30 days.

We earn a commission if you complete a signup. This is how we fund independent journalism without pharmaceutical sponsorship. The affiliate relationship is disclosed on every page containing affiliate links, per FTC guidelines.

The telehealth provider you visit has its own privacy policy governing data it collects from you. We encourage you to review it before signing up.

Third-Party Services

This site uses the following third-party services:

  • Cloudflare — Hosting, CDN, and privacy-first web analytics
  • Google Fonts — Font delivery (Crimson Pro, IBM Plex Sans, IBM Plex Mono)
  • Affiliate networks — Impact.com, Katalys, FlexOffers (cookie-based referral tracking on Find Care page only)
  • Email service provider — Newsletter delivery (if newsletter is active)

Your Rights

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. We do not sell personal information. Under CCPA, affiliate tracking cookies may constitute “sharing” of personal information. You can opt out of affiliate tracking by disabling third-party cookies in your browser settings or by using your browser’s built-in Do Not Track feature.

Other states with privacy laws. If you reside in a state with consumer privacy legislation (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and others), you have similar rights to access, delete, and opt out. Contact us at the address below to exercise these rights.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics is entirely cookieless — it does not set any cookies on your browser.

Affiliate tracking cookies are set only when you click an outbound link to a telehealth provider on our Find Care page. These cookies are set by our affiliate partners (not by us) and typically expire after 30 days.

You can disable cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not affect your ability to read any content on this site.

Children’s Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
